Kinds of education

Education is a social factor of developmentpersonality. Modern science has proved that various kinds of upbringing, closely related to the social environment, contribute to the development of programs of social behavior and the formation of a person's personality.

The concept of "upbringing" refers to the leading in modern pedagogy, it has a wide and narrow meaning.

In the broad sense it is asocial phenomenon of the impact of society on the individual in the process of its development. From this point of view, education is in fact equated with socialization, representing a concrete process of forming the intellect, spiritual and physical forces of the individual, preparing it for active interaction with society, for work.

In the narrow sense, education is specificallyorganized, purposeful activity of pupils and teachers, which strives to realize educational goals. Pedagogical activity in this case is called educational work.

Kinds of education

Among modern scientists there are two pointsview of upbringing. According to the first, it helps to accelerate the development of the individual, according to the second, its slowdown. Adherents of the first position believe that passing spontaneously development processes is not enough, therefore, intensive pedagogical influence aimed at acceleration is necessary. Those who adhere to the second position believe that the childhood of the child is inviolable, and it is not necessary to resort to artificial acceleration of growing up using different kinds of pedagogy. In their opinion, the makings that determine the individuality of a person must mature in it in a natural way.

A purposeful character of education isleading factor of its impact on the formation of personality: it is systematic and should be carried out on the basis of a large cultural material. Providing specially organized educational work is the purposeful management of the process of personal development. This activity is carried out in special educational institutions by educators - trained people for this purpose, who are able to distinguish types of upbringing and properly organize the process. LS Vygotsky believed that the teacher should act only as the organizer of the social educational environment, the regulator and the controller of the interaction of each student with this environment.

Kinds of upbringing are classified. There are several classifications:

  1. The most generalized includes moral, mental, physical and labor education.
  2. If we talk about the direction of the process, then we can distinguish political, civil, aesthetic, international, legal, economic, environmental.
  3. Also, education is divided on the basis of institutions and can be family, school, extracurricular and religious. And the types of family education also have their own classification.
  4. Also, education differs in the style of the relationship between the teacher and the student, divided into free, liberal, democratic and authoritarian.

What is the meaning of upbringing?

The system of education was formed under the influence ofhistorical development of mankind, it should promote the assimilation by children of certain moral norms, abilities, spiritual orientations that are characteristic of a particular society.

The formation of the human person assumes, that society will carry out a constant and consciously organized improvement of the system of education, overcome stagnant, traditional and spontaneously formed forms. This is impossible without knowledge of the psychological and pedagogical laws of personality development, otherwise there can be a manipulative influence on the process of forming the individuality of each individual person.
