Olga Rypakova. Biography, sports career, awards
Men have always competed, who is stronger infighting, swimming, who is faster in running, who can jump higher or further. These competitions did not leave indifferent women. Many chose gymnastic exercises and, of course, the "queen of sports", which we do not quite rightly refer to as athletics. Those who have achieved some results in this sport will never call it easy. But still it does not stop the girls. And they continue to choose their entertaining disciplines. Running, jumping, throwing, performed with a high level of skill, do not leave anyone indifferent: both the participants themselves and numerous spectators.
The heroine of this article, the Olympic champion intriple jump (London, 2012), twice winner of the bronze medal in Beijing in 2008 and Rio de Janeiro in 2016, the world champion in 2010 in closed premises, a multiple winner and prize-winner of various international competitions, began her ascension to the heights of world glory "queen of sport". This star is now known to almost all athletics fans not only in the post-Soviet countries, but also far beyond their borders. This is a native of Kazakhstan Olga Rypakova.
Biography
Olga was born in a sports family November 30, 1984year, in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk, the Kazakh SSR. I started to track athletics under the control and on the recommendation of my parents. Olga's father was engaged in decathlon and at the age of eight brought her to athletics sectors. The first coach in his youth was Tatyana Nazarova, a pupil of her father. Olga Sergeevna Rypakova was originally engaged in jumps in length and heptathlon. The first international start of the athlete was the Junior World Championship, which took place in 2000 in South America, the city of Santiago (Chile). There she debuted in a long jump and took only 23rd place so far. From the memories of the athlete - it was her great achievement at that time, because all the other participants in the competition were several years older than her.
First achievements
Olga Rypakova at the age of eighteenbecame the champion of Kazakhstan in heptathlon among adult participants. In Kingston (Jamaica) in the same year won a silver medal at the World Junior Championships. Becoming a gold medalist of the Asian Games in Doha (Qatar) in the discipline of the heptathlon, the athlete still in 2007 decided to concentrate on the long jump. Since these disciplines require very high rates in the sprint, and not the technical jumping abilities of the athlete, then, considering physical inclinations, it was reasonable to choose the kind of track and field athletics where competitors could be circumvented more by technique than by speed. And of course, the choice eventually fell to a triple jump - it's a complicated form of athletics, which consists of the phases of takeoff, jump, step, jump and landing. To achieve significant results in this form, the athlete needs speed training, jumping, coordination and the ability not to extinguish the take-off speed when performing the jump itself.
Triple jump recorders
If men competed in a triple jump withthe very beginning of the Olympic Games of our time (1896), then for women this discipline was introduced into the Olympic program of competitions only a hundred years later in Atlanta (USA), in 1996. The first Olympic champion in this discipline was the Ukrainian jumper Inessa Kravets, who a year before in Gothenburg, Sweden, set a world record in the discipline of a triple jump with a women's run (15 meters 50 centimeters). In men, the world record belongs to the Englishman Jonathan Edwards (18 m 29 cm). It was established in the same year in 1996, at the same World Athletics Championships at the Royal Swedish Stadium. Many people are surprised that Jonathan is not an athlete at all, it's just a hobby from his childhood.
Let's return to our heroine. Olga Rypakova began her perfection in triple jump and on her way to the Olympus.
Rypakova - Olympic champion
For every athlete the most outstanding achievementis a victory at the Olympics. The 2008 Olympics in Beijing brought Olga the fourth position, but then she still got a bronze medal, which the Greek athlete was denied for incarcerating illegal drugs. And then at the next Olympics, the sportswoman was already determined. At the Foggy Albion - London Stadium - in 2012, Olga Rypakova won her first Olympic gold medal in a triple jump with a result of 14 meters 98 centimeters.
