Poddubny acted as a coherent, because a direct link between the generals was completely absent for technical reasons. Already the next day (August 9) a group of reporters, including Evgeny, refused to evacuate from the dangerous region and continued their work. Return to his homeland for Poddubny became possible only on August 18.
