The first operatic work of the composer MosesWeinberg will soon see Yekaterinburg. The Opera and Ballet Theater in the new season will present the performance "Passenger" to the public. It was written in the 60s of the 20th century, but the first production took place only in 2006. The plot of the opera is based on the story of Polish writer Z. Posmysh. The action takes place on a transatlantic liner. The main heroine Lisa with her husband, a diplomat, sails to Brazil. There she meets a woman who seems familiar to her. Liza tells her husband about her assumptions and reveals the truth about herself - she was a warder in Auschwitz. Lisa seems that the woman on the liner is very similar to one of the prisoners of the camp - Martha, who had long considered the dead. The heroine is trying to find out who this passenger is, stirring up her memories.
