Description, prevention and treatment of gonorrhea

Gonorrhea (in the people "gonorrhea") - diseaseinfectious. The preferred method of transmission is sexual transmission. Pathogen - gonococci, unstable outside the body, quickly dying when dry. However, the moist environment prolongs their life to a day. Therefore, towels and sponges can also become a source (cause) of infection.

Gonococci die already at 39 °, but at hightemperature, being in the body, their viability is only temporarily relaxed and renewed with the normalization of body temperature. The poison, formed during the decay of gonococci, has a depressing effect on the nervous system.

The flow of gonorrhea in men and women is different.

Men have symptoms in the form of pain with urinationmay appear on the second day. The urine becomes cloudy, flakes and "threads" are visible in it. It becomes a painful erection. Notice purulent discharge. Treatment of gonorrhea should be started already at this time, otherwise the disease will pass into the category of chronic. This, in turn, is fraught with the development of inflammations of the seminal glands, the seminal tubercle, the epididymis, etc. One of the most common complications is prostatitis.

In women, the disease is not always recognizable, because sometimes there are no symptoms, or they are "written off" for other diseases (cystitis, thrush). As in men, urination becomes more frequent (too painful), atypical yellowish discharge appears. Absence of treatment in these terms allows you to move along the sexual pathways, leading to accompanying diseases: endometritis (cycle disturbance, purulent discharge, severe pain) and salpingo-oophoritis (inflammation of the appendages, spikes are formed). In the end, infertility.

Gonococcus can cause proctitis (inflamedrectum, constipation, pain, itching, burning) and gonorrheal pharyngitis (inflamed throat, lymph nodes increase, tonsils and posterior wall of the larynx form a purulent film). Mostly homosexually ill.

If the treatment of gonorrhea is not started and at this stage, the peritoneum is inflamed, the blood becomes infected. Infection affects the liver, kidneys, brain.

Treatment of gonorrhea in the home is unacceptable, because "pushes" the infection inside, complicating the diagnosis and lubricating the picture of the disease. For diagnosis it is necessary to perform a bacterioscopic analysis, a smear for gonorrhea, immunofluorescence analysis. When identifying possible co-infections (syphilis, hepatitis, chlamydia, AIDS) treatment is adjusted.

Treatment depends on the stage of the ongoing disease, on the sex of the infected, on the presence (or absence) of other diseases and complications.

With gonorrhea at the initial stage, it is usually enough to take a single dose of a strong antibiotic. It is usually prescribed spectinomycin or ciprofloxacin.

When forms of asymptomatic treatment is shown complex: UHF, darsonvalization, antibiotics, laser therapy, balms, compresses, diathermy, antibiotics.

Treatment of chronic gonorrhea (neglected form)suggests a symptomatic effect (taking immunostimulants, gonococcal vaccine, a complex of vitamins with minerals). Then physiotherapy and an individual course of antibiotics are prescribed.

Sexual contacts at all stages of this disease and treatment are categorically excluded.

Reception of antibiotics destroys theliver, provokes the development of dysbiosis, suppresses the work of the immune system. In addition, there are also individual intolerance to certain drugs. Treatment of gonorrhea is prescribed only by a doctor. Self-medication is unacceptable.

Treatment terms (from a week to a month or more) depend on the individual characteristics of the patient and the stage of the illness itself.

After treatment, the laboratory tests are repeated. The patient is observed for another six months. When relapse, the therapy scheme changes.
