Symptoms of anemia

Anemia is nothing more than a lowering of the levelhemoglobin content per unit volume of blood. Signs of anemia are a decrease in Hb levels of less than 130 g / L (in men) and 120 g / L (in women) and a drop in hematocrit (below 39% in men and 36% in women).
By itself, anemia, most often, acts only as a symptom of a disease, but is not an independent nosology.
Symptoms of anemia are now commonExtremely wide. So, according to experts, anemia affects one in five, and most of them (about eighty to ninety percent) are anemia caused by iron deficiency.
Symptoms of anemia occur in all formsof this state. The following types of anemia are distinguished: iron deficiency, vitamin B 12 deficiency and folic deficiency. In addition, a separate group of anemia is caused by acute (high-volume) or prolonged blood loss. There are, however, also more rare forms - sickle cell anemia, thalassemia. The latter are independent hereditary diseases.
Most species are characterized by general symptomsanemia, such as weakness, irritability, increased fatigue, a feeling of your own heartbeat at the slightest physical exertion, headaches, dizziness is possible. As against exercise, dyspnea occurs.
All types of anemia are characterized by their ownIn particular, the reasons for their occurrence. Some of them, as already mentioned above, are independent hereditary diseases caused by the structural pathology of hemoglobin or erythrocytes, the cause of others is heavy blood loss.
The most common are "scarce"anemia. That is, the causes of anemia - insufficient intake of certain substances (iron, vitamin B12, folic acid). More often such anemia occurs in the female half of the population, since the deficiency of these substances is caused not only by their low content in food and intake, but also by constant blood loss during menstruation.
It is in connection with such a high inclination of womenof childbearing age to "scarce" anemia, many doctors recommend the periodic use of appropriate vitamin complexes, which contributes to the replenishment of the stock of essential substances and is the prevention of the development of anemia. Moreover, pre-gravity training includes these complexes of "deficient" vitamins and minerals as compulsory.
Diagnosis of anemia, relying only onthe symptoms of anemia and the patient's complaints are most often impossible, since the entire list of symptoms is "general" and can characterize a number of different diseases. That's why a reliable indication of anemia can be only a blood test (more common).

The blood test gives us information about the level of hemoglobin, as well as the content of iron in the blood serum. Additionally, the iron binding capacity of the blood is also determined.

Thus, anemia is common both inas a symptom, and as an independent disease. The significance of this disease is extremely high, as with the development of anemia there is a permanent pathological effect on all organs and systems. As a result of this disease, all tissues and organs lose oxygen, which creates unfavorable conditions (ischemia). Prolonged ischemia of the organs leads to the development of pathological processes in them and the disruption of normal functioning. The treatment of this disease is severe and prolonged. At the same time, the prevention of "scarce" anemia represented by the intake of vitamin and mineral complexes is not difficult.
