"Neo-Penotran Forte" - an antifungal drug
"Neo-Penotran Forte" is an antiseptic that comes in the form of vaginal suppositories. Candles have an oblong shape, their color can be from light yellow to white.
The suppository "Neo-Pentorran Forte" includesmiconazole, which has an antifungal effect. Also in the composition of the drug is metronidazole, it has anti-trichomoniasis and antibacterial action. Thanks to the presence of miconazole, the destruction of pathogenic fungi, as well as Gram-positive bacteria, is carried out. Metronidazole, which is in Neo-Penotran Fort, is active against trichomonads, gardnerella, anaerobic bacteria, including anaerobic streptococcus.
Indications for use of this drug:
- the presence of vaginal candidiasis;
- manifestations of bacterial vaginosis, which is also called anaerobic vaginosis or gardnerellosis vaginitis;
- in the presence of such a disease as trichomonas vaginitis, as well as vaginitis, which are caused by the presence of mixed infections.
The method of application of "Neo-Pentoran Forte" and the dose
This drug is used for 7 days forone suppository, which is administered for the night deep into the vagina. If a woman has recurrent vaginitis, then this drug can be taken for 14 days.
In order to insert suppositories as deep as possible into the vagina, one should use disposable fingertips, which are available in the package.
Possible side effects
In some cases, allergicreactions in the form of skin rashes, as well as abdominal pain, vaginal irritation, headache. The presence of miconazole nitrate in the preparation sometimes provokes itching and burning in the vagina, but this is inherent in all antifungal drugs, in which there are imidazole derivatives in the amount of 2-6%. Contraindications:
- Do not take the drug if there is an increased sensitivity to any of the constituents that make up the drug;

- in the presence of epilepsy, porphyria and serious violations in the liver.
When treating this drug, patients can notuse alcohol, and do not take it for two days after the end of the course. Especially cautiously it is necessary to apply suppositories with condoms and contraceptive diaphragms, since interaction of latex and constituents of the drug is possible.
