Not every city is as lucky as Murom. It stands on the banks of the Oka River, and its inhabitants can, without going anywhere, to swim, rest by the water, and most importantly - to fish! Than many of them with pleasure and enjoy.

The Oka River carries its waters along the Murom River forabout 20 km - from the south to the north. Far from anywhere you can count on catch, but some places are very much even nothing. Especially good fishing in Murom, according to local, near the bridges, in particular - next to the floating bridge, from which the road to Gorky starts. The bridge usually appears at the end of spring and remains until the first frosts. These are the six months and become a "golden" time for fishermen.
Happens more often and better than others here on the hookroach. But you can enjoy fishing in Murom on this bridge and a taster, and a scoundrel and even an ulcer (the latter, however, today is very rare here!).
"On horseback" happy boat owners. They go to the Oka, as a rule, in two places - near the pier, which is on the right bank; and on the left - in the area of the pasta factory. In suitable weather and for a good bait, you can count on 5-6 kg of roach and yazi.
A good fishing in Murom is at night,when hunting for burbot is excellent. If the day is short, but sunny, you can start at 8 pm, and fold the fishing rod by five in the morning. In September and closer to the first frosts, a large dace is often caught on the hook.
Fishing in Murom on Staritsa
The old channel is called the old channel of the Oka River, and in thethe city is another "trump" place for fishing. In comparison with Oka it is even more advantageous, because according to Staritsa there are no courts, the current is calmer here, and poachers (and generally, the people) are less. And the nature is more exquisite. So, for example, on an island that separates the old channel from the new one, there is a wonderful pine forest.
Fishermen who complained about Staritsa in the spring orin autumn, have a great chance of catching a pike and perch. And in summer, and in winter cold, roach, bumper and ide easily peck. In winter, you can get even a pike perch as a trophy.
Get to the "cool" places of the Staritsa usually on the train (you need to go out at Prikoksky's exit for about 20 minutes). In the winter months, when there is ice, many people come here on foot right on the Oka.

But the city is a city. And the water is more polluted, and more competitors ... Therefore, many inveterate anglers are trying to find more fertile and secluded places. And they are on the territory of the Murom district - more than enough!
This, for example, is the section of Voyutino-Okshevo-Dmitrievy Gory, located about fifty kilometers from Murom. The most beautiful and favorite place for fishing.
Or the pier of the Boardwalk, located 30 km from the city, if you go up the stream. Here in the Oka waters there is a large roach, reaching 800 g.
