A bit of history

Currently, the Museum of History is inbuilding, which was originally built for these purposes. However, the work lasted for a long time. The beginning of construction is at the end of the XIX century. The idea was implemented according to the project of architect LA Chernyshov. The building for the museum was erected in the Art Nouveau style, and extravagant notes to it were added features of ancient Egyptian architecture.

The First World War was the reason whythe building was temporarily discontinued, and in the unfinished building there were barracks and a military hospital. Finally, the local history museum (Krasnoyarsk) was completed only in 1929.
