Biography
The future writer was born on October 24, 1928year in the family of a successful phthisiatrician Anatoly Goff and a teacher of French Zoe Goff. Unfortunately, the girl's youth came during the Great Patriotic War, which affected her work. In the summer of 1941 the city of Kharkov was in a state of siege. It is for this reason that the Goff family is evacuated to the Siberian city of Tomsk. There, Inna arranges to the hospital and works as a nanny. About the hard times experienced in the military rear (hospitals, queues, constant deaths, destroyed hopes, etc.), she will often recount in her works.
The post-war period
When the war ended, Inna moved to Moscow. There she enters the Literary Institute of Maxim Gorky and attends the seminars of the poet Mikhail Svetlov. And later, after changing direction, he comes to the lectures of the prose writer Konstantin Paustovsky. In her student years, Inna married her classmate Konstantin Vanshenkin, who in the future will become a famous poet.
It was during this period that Goff Inna would find herself inliterary craft. And the success does not bypass the talented writer. The first rays of glory illuminate Inna in 1950. At the first All-Union competition of the best children's books, Goff received her first prize for a short story called "I am a Taiga". Of great interest was another work of Inna - "Heartbeat." A few years later, a new book writer - "Boiling Point". In it, Goff Inna talks about the ordinary workers of the chemical combine, located in the suburbs.
Creation
Creativity Inna enjoyed great success asamong critics, and among ordinary readers. Literary experts noted the liveliness of the language and enthusiasm, which was present in the works of Goff. Therefore, it is not surprising that large publishers willingly printed a young writer. Thus, in 1960 the story "The Northern Dream" was published. And in 1961 a cycle called "Queue for Kerosene" was published. 1963 was marked by the release of Inna's novel "The Phone Calls at Night". In these works the girl reproduced her youthful impressions about the hard times of the Great Patriotic War.
The writer perfectly mastered the genresstory and story. All Goff characters were endowed with living human characters, so they wanted to empathize. Inna's heroes fell into a difficult, but nevertheless, beautiful world. And atypical views of the writer on seemingly trivial things and her delightful sense of humor gave the works a special charm.
Gradually Goff Inna begins to change herrepertoire: from the folk images the girl turns to a more elegant, one can say elitist prose. Thus, the cycles "How to dress gondoliers" and "Stories-travels" are devoted to travels in Italy, and "Familiar trees" are sketches of the writer about the suburbs.

Goff Inna began writing poems back in theyouth. However, the girl quickly and unexpectedly switched to prose. Nevertheless, she did not stop writing poems.
