Formation
The 7th Guards Airborne Assault Mining Divisionwas formed at the end of the winter of 1945. The regiment went west. The unit took positions in Hungary, where it took baptism of fire. In response, the Warsaw Treaty countries decided to suppress the coup attempt by military means. Preparation and planning of the operation took place in the strictest secrecy. Commanders in the field until the last minute did not know about specific goals and combat missions. On August 21, Allied troops stopped the border of Czechoslovakia and occupied key political and military targets. The operation was successful, practically without losses and battles.
The Chechen wars
