The functions of a modern family are very different from those of the social institutions of the past.

This allows you to achieve harmony and satisfaction. Recreational function of the family is most fully performed in a cozy and warm environment, as well as during communication with children and loved ones.

4. Educational. It allows to provide the necessary self-realization, which consists in the education of new generations. This function includes the needs for maternity and paternity, the upbringing of children, as well as a sufficient level of contact with them.

5. Reproductive. This function is responsible for maintaining the population and meeting sexual needs. Love as a form of expression of this task in the basic unit of society includes two concepts: the continuation of the family and the fulfillment of marital duty.

However, you should not separate these definitions. Children are an integral part of the family, which allows to establish and stabilize relations in it. Nevertheless, many believe that having children means only adding new worries and worries to those already available. Of course, to some extent it is. But we should not forget that reluctance to extend one's family can most likely lead to an irreparable deformation of the relationship between family members. Such situations on a global scale lead to a decrease in the birth rate and a reduction in the population not only in a particular country, but throughout the world as a whole.
