How is the paragraph in the "Word"
The paragraph in the "Word" - this is the part of the formatting, which may or may not be necessary. That is why in the article we will understand, not only how to do it, but how to clean up. There are two ways to consider how to indent a paragraph in the Word. It is recommended to read the article to the end to determine which method suits you the most.
Turn on the ruler
The first way, which we will consider,is the standard and fastest, but, in spite of this, it concedes to the second in that it is impossible to indent it by exactly the specified distance with the help of it - everything is done "by eye".
So, before you make a paragraph in the "Word" with a tool like a ruler, you must first turn it on. If you already have it displayed, then this item you can skip.
It's quite easy to turn it on. This is done the same for all versions of the program. You need to go to the "View" tab (usually it's the most extreme) and there, in the "Show" box, tick the "Ruler" tool. Once you do this, it will be displayed in your program.
Indent using the ruler
Now you can safely make a paragraph in the "Word". For this we need only one ruler - horizontal. It is located on top. It has four sliders - one on the right and three on the left. About the right immediately forget, we do not need it. But on the left, we only pay attention to the upper one, it is he who is responsible for indenting the first line of the paragraph.
Before you drag the slider to the rightside, thereby forming a paragraph, make sure that you select the part of the text in which you want to indent. If everything is in order, then boldly move the slider to the distance you need.
We enter the settings. "Paragraph"
The first way how to make a paragraph in the "Word", weconsidered, but it is not suitable in the event that you need to retreat to the exact distance. It's just that the ruler scale does not allow this. But the way that we now consider will help us in this.
First you need to enter the settings of the paragraph "Paragraph". You can do this in several ways. Both are fairly simple and fast, so it's up to you to decide which one to use.
You can right-click in anyPlace the document in the context menu and select the line "Paragraph". Or you can click on the corresponding icon in the column with the same name on the toolbar. Just make sure that the "Home" tab is open.
We indent with the settings of the line "Paragraph"
As a result, you will enter the paragraph settings. Before you will be a window in which you should pay attention to the area called "Indent." Here we are only interested in the drop-down list and the field for entering values on the right. In the drop-down list, you need to select "Indent", and in the field to the right, respectively, enter the value to be indented. After you have decided, click "OK" and you will see the result.
It is worth recalling that before carrying out all the actions, make sure that the part of the text in which you want to make paragraphs is selected.
Get rid of excess
Well, now it's worth talking about how in the "Vord"remove the paragraphs. This will be important if you downloaded a document from the Internet, and formatting does not suit you, in particular paragraphs.
We will consider two ways that are opposite to those given above. That is, we will do all the same, just the opposite.
For example, if you indent withrulers and want to remove it later, then you need to take the upper slider and drag it to the left side until the line is equal to the rest of the paragraph.
If you want to remove indent from the "Paragraph" settings menu, then enter them, and in the "First line" drop-down list select "No". After that, click OK and the paragraphs disappear.
