However, the girl and slave Levius help him escape. Herald is furious. He kills Levius. When he dies, he reveals his origin to Tories and tells where to find Kuksha. Sigurd kidnaps Signa, but the girl dies, clinging to his sword. The Herald finds them both. Kuksha meets Torir, and they go on a voyage.
