Single-pipe heating system for residential buildings

Heating systems of apartment houses more and moreare being improved. The development of new, but at the same time simple in use, heating devices is being carried out. The most common are two-tube and single-tube equipment designs. The single-pipe heating system has several advantages over the two-pipe system, namely:

  • the greatest stability of the hydraulic system;
  • reduction of pipe footage, hence - the mass of the material used;
  • the ability to unify details and nodes for typical and high-rise buildings.

Single-pipe heating system is cost-effectivedue to the reduction in the length of the material. In addition, the preferred factor of this heating option is the possibility of producing separate units of the same size. This significantly reduces the cost of manufacturing parts and simplifies the production process. Such advantages are relevant for high-rise and standard houses. In the same apartments are installed the same heating systems.

Single-pipe heating system hashydraulic stability. The amount of coolant passing through the appliances remains unchanged. In connection with this factor, there is no need to carry out commissioning work when the system is put into operation. Single-pipe heating system can be of several types: vertical, horizontal, with bottom and top wiring.

Single-pipe heating system with bottom wiring - vertical

The backbone (feed and return) is verticalsystems with a lower wiring are located below the level of placement of heating appliances. The system has the form of risers "U-shaped". Each riser is equipped with an ascending and descending part. In the heating system of this type, the following units are used: flow, with a closing section, flow controlled. Heating systems with one pipe and bottom wiring are used in multi-storey buildings (3-7 floors) without lofts, with basement space.

Single-pipe heating system with top wiring - vertical

In a single-tube heating structure with an upperwiring the backbone network passes above the heating devices, and the return line is located below the heating devices. This scheme has become widespread in multi-storey (9 and more floors) buildings. A heating system with an upper wiring in our time implies a one-way connection to the risers. The connection nodes of the heating devices can be flowing, with a closing section and flow-controlled adjustable.

Single-pipe heating system - horizontal

Heating system of horizontal typewas used in buildings with elongated apertures of light flux. The presence of openings requires the installation of devices in the form of rows located under the windows in order to eliminate cold descending flows, as well as to create a comfortable atmosphere in the room. The connection points of heating devices in a single-tube horizontal system can be controlled with closing bypass sections and flow-through unregulated ones. The advantage of this configuration is the possibility of its use for periodic heating of individual building floors.

In modern residential buildings in our timeA two-pipe heating system is mainly used. However, single-tube heating is not inferior to it as much as possible to create comfortable conditions. As a rule, in cottages use a heating system of horizontal type with the integration of several devices into one "chain". Which option to install the system for a particular apartment building depends on the economic indicators and type of project.
