How to choose a guitar
Choosing a good guitar is not easy even experiencedguitar player. Everyone knows that first and foremost you need to pay attention to the material from which the instrument is made, to sound and more. But, first of all, the guitar should be comfortable. According to this criterion, the instrument can be conditionally divided into a convenient one, which helps to play, indifferent - it does not interfere, but it does not help (such guitars as well), and also uncomfortable - it resists and hinders the musician (similar instruments are also not few).
- The upper deck is the main component of the soundguitars. Therefore, the material from which it was made is very important. If such material is an array - cedar, spruce, then the sound will be more saturated and brighter. But those who are going to play in conditions of more extreme, it is better to buy the deck from plywood. It does not require special care and is practically not amenable to changes in temperature, high humidity, and so on.
- Pay attention to the assembly of the tool. The upper deck between the resonator hole and the stand must be flat. If you find a failure - then the guitar will not be able to sound at full strength. You can detect such a failure if you stretch the string across the guitar and lean against the edges of the top deck.
- An important point is the edging of the case. Do not think that this is an element of decor, since the edging links the shells to the decks. Often poor-quality guitars are sold without a fringing or draw it. Beware of such acquisitions. If the guitar is painted, look closely if there is edging there. And another important aspect - very attentive to colored guitars, as often, thus, hide defects in production - scratches, fences, nicks.
- Evaluate the back of the neck. The qualitative neck should have a sizing or an adhesive seam, which shows that the neck consists of two parts. If the neck is a one-piece, the guitar will quickly deform and lead to an additional repair.
- The strings should have a small break in the area of the bottom. If the string is on a bone, the guitar can be considered defective.
- Pay attention to the bottom stand - there should be no gap between it and the deck. If it is still present, it means that soon the stand will start to come off.
- If you notice that the tool is not configured, butyou liked it, take a look at the top stand. If there was a reserve for the transfer of bone, nestro quickly corrected in the workshop. But such a stock should be from 3 mm in each direction.
If you have looked at a certain guitar and notfound in it significant flaws, play it for a few minutes. Experts say that only in this way can you understand if it suits you. Successful acquisitions!
