Vankor field: a push to the development of Siberia
The Vankor field is located in Turukhanskdistrict of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Industrial oil production on it was officially launched on August 21, 2009. Vankor field was discovered in 1991 as a result of drilling its southern part. Currently, the reserves that can be extracted from it are estimated for gas - 95 billion cubic meters. m, for oil - 520 million tons. The extraction of these minerals is conducted by Rosneft.
In order to be put into industrialoperation Vankor field, it was required to build 1685 infrastructure facilities. Among them is a reservoir park with a total capacity of 140 thousand cubic meters. a 200 mW gas turbine power station and a high-tech oil treatment line (capacity - 7 million tons per year).
In addition, the infrastructure includesproduction wells, oil collection networks, booster pump complex, central raw material collection point, small oil refinery for fuel delivery at the production site and nearby settlements. Scale objects have also been created for the transportation of the product. In particular, the Vankor field has a main oil pipeline with such infrastructure: pumping stations with tank farms, power lines along the route, commercial metering nodes. The total number of wells is planned to be increased to 266 units (including one hundred and seventy-three miners). The development and construction of all structures was carried out using modern technologies that ensure environmental protection and rational nature management.
All that will be given to the mining company Vankoroil and gas field, transported through the pipeline to the tie-in to the trunk system. From there, most of the raw materials must be exported. The implementation of this project has made a significant contribution to the economy not only in the oil industry, but also in machine building and construction. Improved position on the labor market in the region, where the weather is quite severe. Vankor field for its development required the attraction of significant production capacity and various resources. In particular, in this process more than four hundred and fifty contractors, twelve thousand builders and 2 thousand units participated. different techniques. More than 80% of equipment delivered to the field was purchased from Russian producers.
Vankor is classified as an integration development projectThe Far East and Siberia. Oil from it will be used not only for export sales, but also as raw materials for the Primorsk Refinery. It is planned to build it in the near future. The oil production at the field is planned at the level of 25 million tons per year. To work on it, today the personnel of various professions and specialties are actively involved: drivers, drillers, geologists, logisticians, electricians, mechanics, settlers, cooks, medical assistants, doctors, insulators, engineers, supplyors, storekeepers, etc. Because of the harsh climate and remoteness from civilization, they work mainly on a rotational basis. People from all regions of the country are accepted for work, accommodation for them is organized in special trailers, free meals and overalls are provided.
