Overview of the car KrAZ-65055
Kremenchug Automobile Plant is one of the mostpowerful enterprises in Ukraine. It specializes in the production of commercial vehicles. In particular, these are dump trucks. One of these is the car KrAZ-65055. For the first time the machine was born in 1997. Serial production of the machine continues to this day. What is KrAZ-65055? Appearance
The dump truck has a brutal massive exterior. The design is dominated by rough square lines. The machine has a huge iron bumper, halogen headlights and separate turn signals. The hood of the car, unlike the "Americans", is made of metal. Also there are slots for ventilation under the hood space on the sides. And on top - a powerful cutout for the air intake. For the convenience of landing in the car provides a metal step. The same is also found on the front of the bumper - the truck is very tall, and climbing under the hood is quite difficult without it. The cabin does not have a berth. This machine is designed only for day operation.
As for the sizes, they are standard fortipper of this class. The total length of the truck KrAZ-65055 is 8.35 meters, width - 2.5 meters, height - 2.87 meters. Also the car differs high ground clearance. The ground clearance of KrAZ dump truck is almost 30 centimeters. This is not surprising, because the car is not designed for asphalt roads. It is a reliable and simple dump truck, which daily works in quarries and other places where there is no road surface.
Salon
Interior has not changed in the car since the 90's. So, here used the old dials, a flat metal panel and a huge double-spoke steering wheel. Seats have a limited range of adjustments and are devoid of lumbar support.
In terms of comfort, the car is not designed for long-distance flights. The cabin is quite noisy and sometimes there is a draft. The cabin is designed for only two people (driver and one passenger).
Specifications
The Kremenchug factory closely cooperated withYaroslavl Motor Plant. So, for the KrAZ dumper there is a power unit of the YaMZ model 238 DE2. This eight-cylinder V-shaped diesel engine with a displacement of 14.9 liters.
Maximum power of the Yaroslavl engineis 330 horsepower. But, despite such a ratio of volume and power, the unit has an unmanned traction. At two thousand revolutions almost 15-liter YaMZ gives out 1274 Nanometers of a twisting moment. It is this parameter that is important for such commercial equipment. After all, the dumper works constantly under high load.
Transmission
In conjunction with this unit operates a mechanicalgearbox produced by YaMZ on 8 steps. Also, the car uses a dry single-plate clutch YaMZ-183. The design is quite reliable and withstands enormous loads.
Dynamics, consumption
Measuring acceleration to 100 kilometers per hour is notwere produced (if only because the peak figure for KrAZ is 90 km / h). But in terms of fuel consumption Ukrainian dump truck is more economical than "Tatar" (KamAZ-55111). For a hundred Yaroslavl motor consumes 34 liters of fuel. The tank capacity of 250 liters is enough for 735 kilometers of driving without refueling.
Chassis
Suspension at the dump truck is strengthened, which gavepossibility to increase the load capacity to 18 tons. For comparison, at KamAZ this indicator is only 10 tons with the same layout. The drive of KrAZ 65055 is carried out on two rear axles (the wheel formula is 6 x 4). A dependent pivot beam is installed at the front. This design has been used on trucks since the Soviet Union.
Behind there are bridges with balancing springstype. Vibration damping is carried out by hydraulic shock absorbers. They are located in front of the KrAZ 65055 model. Steering is complemented by a hydraulic amplifier. But even with it, drivers have to make significant efforts to turn the wheels.
Cost
Initial price for a new dumper in Russiais 2 million 700 thousand rubles. KrAZ is equipped with a powerful salon heater and air conditioning system. Also, the machine is resistant to temperature changes and can work reliably at -450C. Therefore, the dumper is actively used in all latitudes by many road and construction companies.
