Elevated red blood cells in the blood or urine: the main causes
When analyzing blood, it is often found thatthe patient is red blood cells. A similar state of the body is commonly called erythrocytosis. But why is there a violation of the normal amount of red blood cells?
Physiological erythrocytosis
Erythrocytes are blood cells that perform inmainly transport function. In particular, they are responsible for the transfer of carbon dioxide and oxygen. The increase in their quantity may be due to various factors of the external or internal environment. For example, in professional athletes the level of erythrocytes is always higher, which is associated with constant physical loads.

Pathological erythrocytosis is an increase in the number of erythrocytes, which is associated with impaired normal functioning of certain systems of the human body. Here are just the most common reasons:
Rare erythrocytes in the blood are often increased due tocongenital or acquired heart defects. If the myocardium does not cope with its task, then the organs receive insufficient amount of blood - with time the oxygen starvation of tissues develops. In this case, erythrocytosis is a compensatory reaction of the body.
