Pikovit (syrup)
Pikovit is a multivitamin syrup designed for children. It is a viscous thick orange liquid.
Pikovit (syrup) is recommended for prophylaxisconditions that are accompanied by an increased need for the body in vitamins: overwork, increased mental and physical stress, lack of appetite, inadequate diet, recovery from colds and infectious diseases, with the use of chemotherapeutic agents.

Vitamin A is essential for the synthesis of proteins,mucopolysaccharides, lipids, normalizes the functions of the skin, mucous membranes, organs of vision. Pikovit (syrup) is taken internally. Children aged 1-3 years are recommended to give 10 ml (2 tablespoons) of syrup per day; 4-6 years - 15 ml (1 spoon three times a day), 7-14 years - 15-20 ml (1 spoon 3-4 times a day). You can drink syrup from a spoon or mix it with juice, tea, fruit puree. Exceeding the daily dose can not be tolerated, since allergic reactions are possible. The repeated course of admission can be carried out with a periodicity of 1-3 months.
Pikovit (syrup) should not be taken with childrenhypersensitivity to components with diabetes mellitus. Pikovit (syrup) instruction does not recommend taking along with other drugs that contain vitamins. The syrup contains an azo dye E 124, which can cause a sensitivity reaction, so it can be dangerous for children with asthmatic diseases.
In case of an overdose, side effects are increased, which must be treated with activated charcoal, gastric lavage, symptomatic therapy.
When taking syrup, it is possible to stain the urine yellow, which is explained by the presence of riboflavin in the preparation and is absolutely harmless.
