"Berotek H" is available as an aerosol for inhalation. The drug is included in the category of bronchodilators, is a selective beta 2-adrenomimetic. The active component is fenoterol hydrobromide.
The active substance relaxing effectson the smooth muscles of blood vessels and bronchi, preventing bronchospasm caused by histamine, cold air, methacholine and allergens. After taking the drug, the release of inflammatory mediators from mast cells is slowed. In high dosages, fenoterol helps to increase mucolitic transport.

The drug is prescribed for symptomatic therapybronchial asthma (including to relieve seizures) or other conditions that are accompanied by a narrowing of the respiratory tract of a reversible nature, including bronchitis (in patients with obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchial asthma responding to glucocorticosteroids, the need should be considered prescribing concomitant anti-inflammatory treatment).
