Burbot prefers to live deep in the cool water of lakes and rivers. He feeds, as a rule, at night. Burbot is a predatory fish that feeds on small fishes. He hunts from ambush. Nalim are cold-loving, so most often they come across in that period when the temperature of the water drops below 9-10 ° C. In this water, this fish actively eats, which increases the chance of catching it. Search it should be in places where the depth of the pond is maximum or where the bottom keys are beating. They are also caught when leaving the bottom pits and in the estuarine tributaries. At full moon this fish, as a rule, is not caught. Many amateur anglers do not know when it is better to catch burbot. More often, large specimens can be caught in the cold season.
