How to get there?
From the Irkutsk pier to the recreation centerfrom time to time scheduled ships are sent. You can get here and by car (your personal or rented in Irkutsk), a bus or a fixed-route taxi. The distance from Irkutsk is 250 km, the trip will take 3-4 hours. The road is asphalted, except for a small area right in front of the bay. Unusual Lake Baikal

After all, its banks diverge, and periodically there are landslides, the earth goes under the water. The very word "Baikal" according to one of the versions means "a pond similar to the sea".
Olkhon Island
Olkhon Island (translated as "dry" and"wooded") is the largest of the three dozen islands of Lake Baikal. It is located in the central part, evenly stretched along the coast.
