Sugomak cave (Kyshtym) is the onlyNatural formation in the Urals, which arose naturally in the marble. To visit this unique place is considered to be a duty by every self-respecting speleologist.

The Sugomak cave does not contain stalactites, stalagmites or rocks. And this is not surprising, because marble is extremely hard and does not give such formations as the same limestone.

Lake Sugomak

The Sugomak cave is the main onea landmark region that attracts travelers. However, a few kilometers from it is located not less picturesque place, where there is a mountain lake filled with drinking water. The latter covers an area of ​​about 2.9 km2. The depth of the lake reaches 2-3 m.

In the middle of the pond there are several islets. All of them in the warm season become holiday destinations for residents of the city of Kyshtym and visiting tourists.

The shores of the lake are formed by crystalline rocks. The approaches to the water are surrounded by lush vegetation: there are alder, willow, pine.

The picturesque landmark is ondistance more than 100 km from the city of Chelyabinsk. You can get here from Yekaterinburg. However, this will have to overcome the path length of 150 km. To see the cave, some travelers travel by car from Kurgan and Ufa. In this case, they have to overcome 360 ​​km and 410 km, respectively.

Having reached the indicated destination, you need to take a direction to Slyudorudnik. Here you should pay attention to information boards that will be located on the sides of the road. The latter will prompt in which direction it is necessary to continue the movement to drive to the foot of the Sugomak mountain.

Starting a journey from the city of Kurgan, it is necessarymove towards Chelyabinsk. The end point here is all the same Kyshtym. Next you need to go to Slyudorudnik, following the road signs.

From Ufa it is necessary to move towards Zlatoust, from where you can get to Kyshtym. When you arrive at the site, you should proceed in the same way as described above.

If there is a car available, get thereon it you can directly to the cave. However, even in dry weather, it is advisable to move around on an off-road vehicle. At the foot of the mountain there are parking lots for cars, meadows, where you can organize a picnic.

You can get to Kyshtym by public transport. However, in this case, the cave will have to walk about 7 km or stop a few passing cars.
