The famous artist was born on September 30, 1925in the city of Moscow. His father was from Armenia, engaged in poultry farming, and his mother was from the family of a priest. The boy from a young age showed the talent not only of the artist, but also of the sculptor. And in the late 30-ies he entered the MSHSH. From 1945 to 1951 he studied at the Moscow Institute.
