Natural resources are the gifts of our planet
Our planet is a storehouse of various naturalresources. It is thanks to their huge number that a person can fully enjoy the beauty and diversity of forests and fields, the azure waters of the seas and oceans, the warmth of the tender sun and the blows of the salty breezes.
Natural resources are the basis of human life, andalso the whole society as a whole. Only these riches allow us to grow and develop normally, satisfying all important needs and not refusing requests. A variety of representatives of flora and fauna, inhabitants of marine and riverine depths, bacteria and microorganisms - all this is an integral part of a stable and familiar world around us. Natural resources are the variety of wealth that was formed without human intervention. This includes plants and animals, the World Ocean, the Earth's soil cover, minerals hidden in the bowels of the planet, as well as the energy of the sun, wind and water.
Natural resources - this is something without which human life is impossible. It is they that allow to satisfy all possible material and cultural needs of society.
All natural components, one way or another involved in the process of human life, classified by many features.
Classification of natural resources
Characteristic of classification | Characteristic |
The gene (natural) | Here there is a division of all the riches of nature into groups: а) all mineral; b) all kinds of water; c) land; d) vegetable; e) animals; (e) Energy resources. In this case, plants and animals are often united in one category - biological resources. Mineral wealth includes all usefulfossils. Water resources are the World Ocean and underground waters of the planet. Land includes the entire surface and soil cover of the Earth. Energy natural resources are the energy of the sun, wind, water, the bowels of the planet, etc. |
Ecological | All resources are divided into renewable and exhaustible. |
Nature of use | On this basis, all natural components belong to one of two groups. The first is the means of labor, and the second is commodities. |
Replacing some components with others | This attribute underlies the classification of resources for those that can be replaced by others (replaceable) and those whose properties are unique (irreplaceable). |
Technical capabilities of operation | Here we distinguish between real components that are widely used and potential resources that can be used in the future. |
Awareness | On this basis, four groups of natural resources are distinguished: A - studied and ready for production resources; B and C1 are those that are not fully explored; C2 - stocks of these resources are known only approximately. |
In addition, in the modern world there are sets of wealth that characterize the state of the economy of the country and the whole planet as a whole.
