Family values - the foundation of any society
Have you ever thought about why some families are strong and friendly, and others break up in a very short time?
It is not a question of the solvency of people, not their social status. The point is in the ability or inability to build a family, understanding the very process of building a family building.
On what basis should the family be built? Of course, there must be love and respect, mutual understanding and trust in it. It is these concepts that are called the general term "family values". They should be formed initially in the family where the child grows.
Dictionaries interpret the concept of "traditional family values" as a set of ideas about the family, which is cultivated in a specific society. Different peoples and social strata can differ.
Other dictionaries give a shorter definition. Family values are the way of life, relationships and behavior of family members.
These representations influence the style of family relations, family goals, ways and methods of raising children, the vital activity of family members.
Unfortunately, the concept of "family" is now graduallychanges its meaning. More and more often you can meet civil, illegal marriages, polygamy, same-sex unions. Can they be considered their families? Opinions differ.
It is worth noting that traditional familyvalues largely depend on the culture of the society in which the family is built. For example, most of Western society recognizes only the nuclear family. All other types of cohabitation are considered immoral.
Religious leaders preach their own, different fromuniversally recognized, family values, and representatives of, for example, sexual minorities - their own. A vivid example: the law on the permission to have children of same-sex couples is being prepared for adoption in France.
It turns out that the single family values are notexist? This is not true. In any culture, any nation has always considered important the connection with previous generations, kinship, love, trust, birth and upbringing of children.
If a child knows from childhood what is familyvalues, if his parents treat each other and their children with love and respect, then we can be sure that in the future the child will also be able to build a strong family.
However, it is worth remembering that only stories andmoralizing can not bring up a good family man. It's not enough for a child to hear about how to live, what to appreciate. He should see this on the example of his parents. Lying, duplicity, and disrespect of parents create distrust not only for people, but for family values in general.
It should be added that in our countrythere are laws that proclaim family values and determine the role of the family in the development of society. However, the definition of the law does not give definitions. But people who disseminate information to children denying family values, propagating contempt for parents or relatives, are punished.
