History

Building
In 1881 the State Theater was builtnations (Moscow). Architect M.N. Chichagov created it by order of AA. Bakhrushin. Then it was the Korsha Theater. The name corresponded to the name of his supervisor. It was opened in 1885. The repertoire included light comedies, in the plot of which there was a love affair. This choice is a good way to solve financial problems and attract an unsophisticated viewer.
It was equipped with the latest technology of the time theater. The premises were covered with electricity, whereas even in the Bolshoi and Maly theaters there was still no such thing.
