The group "NOM": ironic texts laid to the music of rock style

Thanks to this - though not universal - recognition, the group "NOM" could survive for many years, and now, apparently, is not on the verge of collapse.

Unusual genre

The abbreviation NOM stands for "Informal Association of Youth", and since the creation of the team in the 80 years of the last century has not been changed.

First steps

The date of birth of the group is February 28, 1987year, although their performances started a little earlier. It was founded by Andrei Kagadeev, born in 1961, who still retains a leading position in the team. With the future drummer of the group, Nikolai Rodionov, he played in the school ensemble. The original line-up also included the brother of Andrey, Sergei (vocalist), Dmitry Tikhonov (keyboard player), Sergei Butuzov (guitarist), Yuri Saltykov (vocalist).

In 1988, the group became a member of the rock band"Bridge". A few years later, instead of Rodionov, Vladimir Postnichenko became the drummer. In the first years of its existence the collective actively tours the country and produces the first video clip "Dwarf" and the debut album "Gross". In 1989 the collective left Butuzov.

The height of active activity

Since 1990, for almost six years,tour almost all over Europe group "NOM". The soloist who played the main parts, then was Sergei Kagadeev, who has unique vocal data. Later, the group replaced again: instead of Sergei Butuzov, the guitarist was Alexei Rakhov, and soon his place was taken by Vitaliy Lapin. Dmitry Tikhonov, who left for Geneva, was replaced by Yuri Sobolev, who was succeeded by Ivan Sokolovsky.

In the 90's "NOM" removes a number of unique clips onnew and not very musical compositions. One of them, filmed for the song "Skotinorap", even received an award at the festival "Exotica" in 1992. The group attracted the general attention, among other things, with the individual image of each participant, as well as participation in joint tours with Igor Talkov. At this time there are new albums of the group: "To the dogs," "Superdisk," "In the name of reason," and others.

Split group

In 1997, when the group was on the verge ofdecay, it consisted of five people: the brothers Kagadeev, Saltykov, Lapin and Postnichenko. The group "NOM", whose participants differed in their views on the further development of their product, divided into two: EURO NOM, striving for a heavier sound, and "NOM FAT", tending to the style of its first album.

Sergei Kagadeev and Sergei Kagadeyev played for the heavier musicdrummer Vladimir Postnichenko. To his EURO was also joined by Denis Medvedev and Nikolai Mayorov. The team headed by Andrey Kagadeev included Yury Saltykov, Dmitry Tikhonov and Nikolai Gusev. Vitaly Lapin supported cooperation with both groups.

Sergei Kagadeev's team could not last longto hold out and by 2001 completely disintegrated. In 2014, Sergei died of acute heart failure. "NOM FAT" has returned to its original name and continues to amaze the audience with new songs, clips, films and books.

Last works

Today the group "NOM" (photo of the collective is oftenchanged due to the non-permanent composition) has such a set of musicians: Andrey Kagadeev, Yuri Saltykov, Nikolai Gusev, Dmitry Tikhonov, Vitaly Lapin, Nikolai Kopeikin. There are two more episodic participants: Varvara Zverkova and Vadim Latyshev.

In the 2000s the band released a huge number ofnew songs and started to process old compositions. Several new albums were released and successful concerts were given, some of them were devoted to the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the collective. In 2012, the premiere of the motion picture studio "NOM-film" "Starry nap".

A long creative way of the creative team forthe name "NOM" was associated with a misunderstanding of the public, a frequent change of participants and disagreements between them. Despite the fact that their creativity is not understood by all, there are always a lot of people willing to visit their concert, evaluate a clip or a movie. "NOM" has long ceased to be an association of "youth", but the liveliness and unquenchable enthusiasm of its participants show that the team will remain forever young.
