Biography

Our heroine was born on May 24, 1973 in the city of Lviv (Ukraine). Ruslana Lyzhichko - that's her real name.

She never wanted to leave her native Lviv. Father, Stepan Ivanovich, first worked as a heat engineer in the same petrochemical university. And recently the man is engaged in business. The singer's parents divorced in 1981. For the sake of common children, they were able to maintain friendly relations.

A year later, Ruslana pleased her fans with the second disc, which was called "The Last Christmas of the 90s". It included folk and author's songs on the New Year theme.

In 2003, her third disc "Wild Dances" was released. The entire circulation (500,000 pieces) was sold out by fans in a few days.

World fame

In 2004, the Eurovision contest was held in Istanbul, where the singer Ruslana represented native Ukraine. The long-haired beauty performed the song Wild Dances. She easily managed to get into the semifinal of the contest.

On May 16, 2004, Ruslana Lyzhichko was recognizedthe winner of Eurovision. After that, the career of our heroine went up the hill. She began to receive proposals for cooperation from producers and directors living in different countries.

In 2006, the singer Ruslana decided for a whileleave the scene and engage in political activities. She became a Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Our Ukraine party. However, the girl soon realized that politics is not her vocation.

For several months Ruslan "disappeared" in the recording studio. In 2008 she presented to the listeners two records - "Amazon" and Wild Energy.

Personal life

In 1995 the singer Ruslana marriedproducer Alexander Ksenofontov. Spouses live in a happy marriage for more than 20 years. They dream of children - a boy and a girl. But until God gives them the opportunity to feel like parents.

Singer Ruslana (photo above) always considered herself a patriot. Therefore, the civil war in Ukraine, she perceived as a personal tragedy. The actress provides material assistance to children of volunteers of the ATU.
