How to make a topiary from satin ribbons
New decorations in the interior - topiary ofsatin ribbons - has become very popular. It not only perfectly complements the design of the room in which it is located. The positive thing is that everyone can make this decoration on their own. To work on topiary, you will need:
- satin ribbons;
- a flower pot;
- glue gun or superglue;
- gypsum mixture;
- A stick (a branch from a tree, a thick wire);
- a ball (foam, paper or other);
- working tools (scissors, needle and thread);
- Scenery.
The topiary of satin ribbons is made in several stages.
1. First of all, we need a ball to create a tree crown. If there is not anywhere suitable or you do not want to spend money once more, you first need to make it yourself: roll out of a regular newspaper, wrapped in thin strings (to keep the shape) and cover with PVA glue.
2. While the base for the crown is dried, you can create any decoration from the ribbons. For example, wind a lot of roses or other flowers. Although this will take more time, but the result will be great.
3. Ready-made flowers will need to be glued to the glue to the base (or sew, if the crown is made from newspapers). But there is one more variant of decoration: to curtail a part of the ribbon with a tube and pin it with a needle to the shape (if it is made of a material that allows to keep the ornaments in this way). Do not forget to leave some space for the trunk.
4. After the crown is decorated, it is necessary to transform the wand. It can be painted from a can or wrapped in a beautiful ribbon of suitable color. Next, the created part is passed to the ball, lubricating its tip with superglue. The most difficult work is now over, the topiary of tapes is nearing completion.
5. Eliminate the remaining gaps in the crown by using satin ribbons, cutting out any leaves (the edges need to be lightly flamed, so that they do not dissolve and spoil the appearance of the product) or new flowers.
6. The next step is decorating the pot. You can also paint it from the can with any color you like, glue all kinds of beads, rhinestones or other ornaments from ribbons.
7. The final stage is filling the plaster mixture in a pot and installing a tree in the middle. You can first fix the tree in the container with the help of pieces of polystyrene, which will need to be poured in with the mass. After that on the received ground impose any ornaments: small pieces of satin ribbon, decorative pebbles, straw, ornamental grass from threads and other.
