Ginger lemonade as a remedy for many ailments
Living in India, I really miss the Slavic food. Of course, here you can find restaurants that offer Belarusian tourists and local residents a Belarusian scrub or Ukrainian borsch, but there are no such products as in Belarus. Therefore, you have to adjust to local food and drink. Hindus, as a rule, add to the food of chili, turmeric and ginger. Recipes for cooking almost every dish means using this fragrant root.
However, here and there you can find a smallan enterprise or even a household that produces cucumber cocktails and ginger lemonade. An Indian drink containing a fragrant root is produced according to all traditional rules. First of all, the fragrant root is cleaned and cleansed. Then each piece is rubbed on a grater. When there is enough ginger in the tank, it is poured with water. Some time (about a day), this drink is infused. Then the liquid is poured into several separate containers.
How to make a healthy drink from thisspicy root of the house? To do this, we need a small piece of this spice, lemon or lime, honey or sugar (if you, like me, sweet tooth) and a little patience.
First get rid of the ginger peel. I warn that the skin is tight against the fetus, so it's best not to cut it, but to scrape it off. Next, on a small grater, rub the spine or simply cut it. Prepared by warm water (its temperature should not be more than 70 degrees Celsius, as boiling water will kill many useful properties of ginger) we pour the sliced mass and, having covered the container with a lid, let us brew for a certain time. I sometimes leave for 8-12 hours. Many believe that it will be enough and 2 hours. It all depends on what flavor and taste you want to achieve: if you prefer a spicy and pungent taste - hold on longer. Next, I strain the drink and add lime and honey to it. Ginger lemonade is ready!
