Slopes from plasterboard - quickly, qualitatively, independently

Each of us tries to improvehis home, make it more cozy, warm and safe. Therefore, the owners of apartments in old houses are changing the outdated doors and windows to more modern and perfect. However, as a rule, no new door or window becomes ideally in the opening, as a result of which you have to re-trim the slopes. One of the most common and budgetary methods is the imposition of door and window slopes with plaster, but this process is quite extended over time. And the very payment for the work costs much more than the spent money for the purchase of building material, as well as the forces for the daily cleaning of dirt and dust, which is sure to accompany any plastering work.

But there is also a worthy alternative to thisso laborious option - slopes of plasterboard, which allow in the shortest time to issue a window or door, and even without the special financial costs, because such work will be entirely possible for any home craftsman.

Drywall - stunning in itscharacteristics material. It is easy to cut, has a remarkable smooth surface, does not require a long finish, it is well restored. In addition, it is not only ordinary, but also moisture-resistant, so the window slopes made of it do not swell with dampness, but serve the owner for many years.

Slopes of gypsum board can be made by twoways, each of which is suitable for both doors and windows - this material can be attached to the metal profiles inserted into the openings by screws or placed on a special glue. Both options are good enough, and the work itself is not too laborious, does not require the presence of special qualifications.

So, how to make slopes from drywall? The first step is to make all the necessary measurements, then transfer the dimensions to the drywall and cut out the appropriate pieces. Measuring is necessary in such a way that the upper part of the slope overlaps the lateral ones, which will allow the applied elements to be applied to each other tightly, without cracks and gaps.

If it is decided to mount slopes of plasterboard onglue, the door and window openings must be thoroughly cleaned and treated with a primer. After preparation, you must dilute the purchased adhesive (according to the instructions that are always on the package), apply it to the cut drywall, which is then applied to the surface to be treated. Surplus glue can be squeezed out, and the accuracy of the installation is checked by the building level. Slopes of plasterboard are almost ready. It remains only to give them time to completely dry, after which you can proceed to finish the finish.

Installation of slopes on the profile also does not cause specialdifficulties. With this kind of finish, the surface does not require any preliminary preparation, it is enough to cut out pieces of vertical and horizontal profiles that fit in the sizes, fix them in window or door openings, and then screw in pre-prepared slopes from the plasterboard with self-tapping screws. The only "but": when installing slopes this way, the voids between the profiles should be filled with mineral wool or polystyrene, which will help the design to keep heat better.

As for the final finish, it is also quite simple. The surface of plasterboard is enough to putty, after drying, peel off the skin, and then paint.

Make slopes of plasterboard with your own handsit is not difficult, the work does not take much time, but it allows you to save a very substantial amount, which the real owner will always find a worthy application.
