Aviation plywood: area of use and material features
Such a name plywood aircraft deserved due toits direct purpose. The aviation industry could not exist without such a constructive element as plywood. This material is better than ever for modeling and designing air objects. Aviation plywood (3 mm) meets all the requirements put forward to the material, and has the necessary indices of flexibility, strength and low density.
Features of aviation plywood
Aviation plywood - what is it? A material that consists of layers of birch veneer. The number of layers determines the thickness of the plywood. The minimum number of them is three. The density of gluing veneers determines the strength of plywood. The minimum thickness of plywood for aeromodelling is 3 mm. This (the thinnest) type of plywood is rare. Veneer is glued together with a bakelite or boskitnoy film A, B grade or special phenolic glue.
Scope of aviation plywood
Flexible aviation plywood is used in such areas of human activity:
- in the aircraft industry: in the design of light aircraft;
- at finishing works;
- in the production of packaging;
- when manufacturing furniture;
- handmade: when making souvenirs.
The use of aeronautical plywood allows, as a result of assembling, to obtain high-quality products with guaranteed structural properties.
Design of aircraft
Aviation plywood for manufacturing of flyingdevices unique material with high strength and density characteristics with a minimum thickness of the product. The production is carried out according to technical specifications and fully complies with GOST 102-75 for 1975.
Souvenirs from birch plywood
For the manual production of souvenirs oftenuse valuable and high-quality materials, including plywood. In addition to plywood, additional construction elements will be needed. For the production of finished products, material and time costs, which are subsequently compensated for by the low consumption of the base material and the high cost of handmade souvenirs.
Packing materials
Such products are made from the cheapest typesplywood, which is only available in the market. Most often used coniferous veneer. Aviation plywood is rarely used for such purposes. Is that as decorative boxes or gift packages, decorated with painting or engraving.
Furniture industry
Plywood thickness of 3 mm is used for platingthe back of the cabinets. This design makes the construction durable and at the same time does not weight it, which makes it easy to carry furniture when necessary.
Organization of finishing works
Three-millimeter plywood is actively used forperformance of interior finishing works of the ceiling and walls in technical rooms and garden houses. The main advantage of this finish is the low material cost and fast installation.
Plywood is a useful and widely used material. As you can see, aviation plywood is not a narrowly focused product, but it is used in many spheres of human activity.
