Varnish for stone

Traditional varnishes are designed for impregnationtree. However, there is a whole group of varnishes, the purpose of which is to protect concrete and bricks. Today, a lot of lacquer producers are known, among which the consumer can choose himself. Popular are the varnishes of well-known manufacturers "H & C", "Sherwin-Williams", "Promo", "KrasKo", "Olympus", etc.

Varnish for stone is intended for protection and impregnationconcrete. It is used when it is necessary to obtain a strong coating, which at the same time would be transparent or create the effect of a natural wet stone. After drying on a hard surface, a high-quality varnish must come to this state.

Varnish for stone based on polyurethane isa particularly strong composition for the protection of concrete. It is used for indoor and outdoor works. Applying it to hard surfaces is extremely easy, it is very resistant to chemical and physical stimuli, high humidity and sharp temperature changes. When deposited, the effect of wet stone is observed: the surface even in a dry state looks slightly moist and overflows into the sun.

Varnish for natural stone is appliedmainly for protective purposes. They impregnate surfaces of cement, concrete, decorative stone, brickwork, finishing tiles. In addition, varnishes are used as a finishing coat for the types of coatings listed. The composition shows well the texture and hides the scratches on the surface of the stone.

Varnish on stone has a variety of properties. It is a one-component polyurethane compound, the process of solidification of which takes place under the influence of air and moisture. The varnish deeply penetrates into the microcracks, dusts the surface and makes it even stronger. The coating provides an excellent barrier to protection from environmental influences.

After impregnation with varnish stone surfaces in(they are not afraid of temperature changes from -90 degrees to +50), are resistant to high humidity, do not lend themselves to moderate mechanical damages.

Stone varnish is sprayed onto the surface andDistributed by a special brush or roller with a velor or short coat. For interior work, the varnish must be applied in a well-ventilated room, at a temperature of at least zero and not more than thirty degrees. Stone and concrete are pre-cleaned of all substances (liquid, plaque, dust) on its surface, ground, re-dusted and dried.

The stone can be varnished inseveral layers, each of which is applied only after the previous one has dried completely (after about 4-5 hours). The drying time of the varnish depends on the air temperature: the lower it is, the more time it will take.

Before starting work is recommended to dotest application on a small surface area so that the quality of the coating can be assessed. Varnishes are flammable materials with complex chemical compounds, so work with them is necessary with the observance of safety precautions.

Stone varnish prevents the formation ofmaterial of the fungus, salt spots, increases the resistance of mineral stone bases, blocks the capillaries of porous surfaces. The composition has a high fluidity and adhesion, good astringent and penetrating properties.

It is used to protect walls, floors, streams, various products and structures made of natural and artificial stone. Processing of products made of stone, located in the open air, is limited. It is not recommended to apply it in the absence of a lower waterproofing.
