Water well: device, advantages
Water wells are designed for installationsuch equipment as cranes, latches, fire hydrants. As a rule, they are made of prefabricated reinforced concrete, less often of brick. They come in different sizes and shapes.
Reinforced concrete structures
A water well can be either round or rectangular. It is made for pipes of the following materials:
- reinforced concrete;
- brick and concrete.
The water well consists of reinforced concreteplate, which is installed on the compacted soil. A prerequisite is the horizontal position of the plate, otherwise the ring construction will not stand. At the point of insertion of the pipe into the well, the sleeve should be installed, if it is made of PVC. This must be done in case of draft of the well, so that there is no breakthrough.
A water well is placed depending on thedepth of bedding. At the top of the design, a ring with a hatch is installed and the neck is laid out with a brick. Great attention is paid to quality external waterproofing and proper drainage system. Usually blocks are covered from the outside with bitumen, however this method is a bit outdated.
Building a water well, for armamenttake new materials for waterproofing. You can use RubberElast ribbon or rope (hemp, jute or linen). The rope is not necessarily impregnated with bitumen, but it can be smeared with fibrorezin Kiilto Fiberpool. This is a special mastic, which is used as a waterproofing.
An alternative to a concrete structure isplastic water pipe, the price of which is much smaller. Polymer systems are becoming increasingly popular due to not only the cost, but also the reliability of the material.
Welded plastic tanks, depending on the functions performed, are divided into:
- inspection;
- storm showers;
- sedimentary;
- for locking equipment;
- for measuring instruments.
Plastic analogues in comparison with reinforced concrete structures have the following advantages:
- the probability of displacement due to groundwater is excluded;
- accelerated installation of the structure;
- light weight;
- low thermal conductivity of the material;
- durability;
- impact resistance;
- resistance to mechanical damage;
- frost resistance;
- not susceptible to corrosion;
- a large selection of designs.
Sufficiently convenient is the arrangement of a sealed chamber for water supply, since the system operates under pressure.
