The main advantage of this system is to automatically adjust the speed necessary to maintain a safe distance to the vehicle ahead in front. When this distance is reduced, the computer starts sending the necessary signals to the brake pads and the motor. The speed of the car is automatically reduced. After the road in front is released, cruise control restores vehicle traffic. This process is controlled by the longitudinal controllers, the digital signal processor and the radar sensor.
