How to install the xenon yourself?

To begin with, we need to remove the old headlight fromfastening. To do this, it is necessary to de-energize the system: remove the negative terminal from the battery and unscrew the bolt of the optics block. Afterwards we will need to use a long minus screwdriver to remove the two plastic clips. Now it remains for us to pull out the headlight from the installation socket.

Next, remove all the wires to which itis connected. It is recommended to disconnect the large terminal with a small minus screwdriver. To do this, insert it into the small slot on the side of the wire and press on the edge of the handle. It is worth noting that the terminal has a very fragile plastic latch, so follow it carefully.

Now remove the cover of the headlight housing. Most often it is fixed on 4 latches. Before installing the xenon, you need to remove the lamp. Categorically, you should not touch the headlight reflector with your fingers, as this will not have the best effect on the propagation of the light beam. Also, during installation of xenon, avoid hitting aggressive substances such as gasoline and alcohol on the reflector surface.

Before installing xenon, you needthink about the future placement of new lamps in the headlight. First you have to take care of the wires. Since they will be much larger (further you need to connect the ignition unit as well), it is necessary to make an additional hole on the back side of the optics. It is best to drill in the bottom of the case. So the wires will not rest against the plastic wall behind the headlight. In order not to damage the plastic, first use a thin drill, and then expand it with the nail file. Now it is necessary to pass the wires through the hole, then insert the rubber seal into it.

Before installing xenon, you need toInstall the ignition unit. It is fixed under the body of the headlamp. Next we connect the remaining 4 wires from which the standard lamp is fed. We connect all the terminals according to the polarity and put the xenon light on the place of the regular one.
