Perversion is a feature of perception or pathology: what is the ambiguity of the term?

- Narratophilia implies a feeling of excitement from hearing vulgarity or abusive language.
- Pictograph is a perversion, according to which the individual enjoys viewing pictures preferred instead of sexual intercourse.
- Mechanophilia is a sexual attraction to the mechanisms and arousal from the speed.
- Pyrophylia - getting sexual pleasure at the sight of fire.
- Podophilia - has to do with foot-fetish, which is characterized by an attraction to the soles of the feet.
Is it possible to cure sexual perversion?
It should be said that when observed by specialistsmental problems, the problem is not limited only to how to distinguish perversion from the norm, it is complicated by careful concealment of the disease by the patient from his environment. He is afraid of promulgation and criminal punishment. Due to this behavior, the disease can only worsen.
Only an accurate patient setting for a long andsystematic treatment, including psychotherapeutic methods with a focus on the manifestation of adequate libido and suppression of the unhealthy, can lead to positive results.
