Point, point ... Point-by-line contours
In the halls of the Hermitage and the Museum. A.S. Pushkin in Moscow, dedicated to the work of Impressionist artists, there are amazing paintings written in the technique of pointillism. If you approach them closer and take a closer look at the fabric of painting, you will see that the painted canvas is created by small dotted strokes. Thanks to this, it seems that the pictures consist of microscopic mosaic elements assembled into a single whole by the hands of the master. On the basis of this technique, applied artists have invented their own, called point-to-point, and are used admirably for painting various decorative objects, looking at which, it seems that they are all decorated with small beads or beads creating complex multicolor overflows on the surface and interwoven ornament.
For dot painting use acryliccontours, which are usually drawn around the picture, painting glass or ceramics. Spot painting with contours can be used to decorate glass transparent glassware, bottles, ceramics, wood and glass products, furniture, small decorative items.
Spot painting with outlines. Fundamentals of Excellence
The technique of painting with contours is not complicated, but it requirespatience and accuracy. To learn it and get the necessary skills, you can start by painting simple glasses made of transparent white glass. For work you will need: glasses, contours on glass (better firm Decola) of different colors, drawing for painting, alcohol or acetone, cotton buds and disks.
Drawing is inserted inside the glass and fixed thereso that it snug against the glass. The surface of the glass is degreased with acetone or alcohol. Carefully squeezing out the contour from the tube, we put the drawing with dots of different colors. On broad thickened lines, we draw larger dots, on very thin lines, smaller ones. Spout the tube regularly wipe the cotton disc, removing the excess contour. The places of the pattern, which turned out to be uneven or blurry, can be corrected by letting the contour dry, and then scraping the uneven points with a knife or razor and applying them again. Having drawn all the lines with the same colored circle, we proceed to another color. So, we apply the whole drawing. We let it dry for at least 24 hours. Then we put the finished products in the oven for baking at a temperature of 150 - 170 degrees, no more. After 30-40 minutes, turn off the oven, when it cools down, take out the glasses. The work is done. Baking fixes the contour pattern and allows the glasses to be used as intended. They can be safely washed, poured into them liquid, etc.
Point-by-line contours can decorate productsmade of wood. The technique of patterning is the same. The sketch of the drawing is applied to the wooden surface with a soft pencil or a helium pen. The finished painting with contours on wooden products is covered with a protective layer of acrylic lacquer to protect it from mechanical damage. Another wonderful basis for painting the contours can be ordinary wax candles, which will be a unique decoration of the festive table or interior.
Painting of candles
Point-by-line contours on candles can beThematic, dedicated to some significant date: birthday, wedding, anniversary, etc. A special wax-based circuit is used for drawing the picture (for example, the company Kroyl (Germany)). First, the contours of the future painting are applied to the candle with a helium handle. Then, along these contours, a colored contour is applied using a dot pattern, squeezing out the paint from the tube. To obtain smaller dots and a finer pattern, use a metal tip that can be made from aluminum. Point by point fill the whole picture. Allow the work to dry out. The wax circuit dries quickly enough. The figure on the candle will melt along with it.
Spot painting with contours - requires enoughgreat stress, attention and accuracy. But the result, which will turn out at the end of the work, will be amazing. This technique fascinates with its unusual, graceful and original.
