Unaware that all these devices for movement spoil each of us health, polluting the environment, their number is growing every day more and more. And that's why at the moment we can not imagine our life without motor transport. However, it includes not only a personal car. So, what is it?

Road transport includes all types oftransport, which move not on rails, carry various types of cargo or passengers. Now the logistics profession has become very widespread, it was brought directly by road transport to it. It is on its basis that logisticians develop the most expedient types of transportation, whether it be the export of goods for trade or construction, international transport or industrial transportation.

Today, the world's road transport isvery important figure in any branch of the economy. After all, all products that require fast delivery depend on it to a large extent, they can be perishable, valuable goods that can not be transported by other means of transport.

Thus, with the advent of cars,the organization of delivery of cargo from the producer to the consumer became the most accessible, which contributes to the development of the branches of the economy to a large extent. Continuous improvement of modes of transportation improves service and has a favorable effect on increasing profits. Consequently, road transport occupies a significant place among vehicles that deal with the transport of goods. In connection with the greatest availability, its role is constantly growing. However, it should be noted that motor transport in Russia is not as developed as in the countries of the West. This is due to the fact that the transportation of goods by car is possible only for short distances and, in comparison with seventy five percent of freight turnover in foreign countries, in Russia it accounts for only seven percent of the country's total freight turnover.

Since in Russia there is a huge problem inthe development of the road network and their operation, road transport can not increase the percentage of freight. Despite all this, the number of cars, including trucks, is constantly growing and is represented not only by domestic, but also by foreign brands. Thus, the role of other modes of transport is significantly reduced. Road transport today is a huge competitor to rail transport, which in the nineteenth century was the most common.

In conclusion, I would like to say that, despiteto the fact that the development of road transport is an important sign of the development of technological and civilizational progress, as well as the economy and the management system, let's not forget that it pollutes the environment. And this is no less a problem that needs to be addressed.
