The choice of a plastic surgeon is the most important point

History of plastic surgery as an areaof medicine has been around for almost three millennia, but the popularity of its services and the opportunities it provides began only in the early twentieth century. Why so long? One of the most important factors that hindered its development was the church's intolerance to surgical intervention in the appearance of a person ("we are what God created us and the rest is from the evil one"). But then the influence of the church on science decreased somewhat and after the First World War, when war-disfigured soldiers began to overcome surgeons with requests to help them return to normal life, the industry began to develop more intensively. In Russia, however, its development did not happen as quickly as in Europe - serious progress began to occur only after the collapse of the USSR and the fall of the Iron Curtain. But then ... the pace of development of plastic surgery in the last twenty years can be called really fast.

Well, development is really justgreat. Changed the attitude and the simple consumer - if before people were just afraid to go to the doctor, and, roughly speaking, lay down under the knife without guarantee of result, now this fear is not so noticeable. True, something still remains, and the most unpleasant consequence of this fear is that the patient often can not clearly and distinctly talk about his problem and explain coherently what exactly he expects from the operation. Therefore, any surgeon should always be a little bit of a psychologist. This, by the way, is one of the most important criteria for choosing. Even on the site of the surgeon Vyacheslav Balkizov, one, by the way, from the best plastic surgeonsMoscow, it is about this - it is necessary to look for not just a specialist, but a specialist who, even after many successful operations, remained a man. A specialist who first of all will listen to the needs of the patient, and not try to satisfy his ambitions, having proved himself, to the patient and everyone else that he is, say, a great doctor. If in the case of conventional medicine the "Israeli" approach, which consists in the fact that the doctor is primarily interested in the nature of the disease, and then the patient's condition, justifies itself, in the case of plastic surgery, the humanitarian and social component is of far greater significance.

But, of course, the most important criterion - does not meanonly. The professionalism of the doctor and his specialization still are of paramount importance - it is unreasonable, for example, to go to an operation to increase the breast to a person who specializes in the practice of a person. But selection by specialization is, let's say, a primary sieve, this is a completely logical first step. And from the already prepared list of specialized specialists, it is better to choose precisely this criterion - according to the human attitude, according to the degree of attentiveness. That it did not turn out so, that your new nose madly is pleasant to the surgeon and its personnel, and even objectively good on all parameters, but thus it is completely not pleasant to you.
