How many dolphinariums exist in the world, not exactlyNobody knows. Today, such institutions are not uncommon for our country. But the trouble is: they are all located in cities where it is difficult for dolphins to create suitable conditions. To study the behavior of animals in an environment close to natural, in 1992, the first and so far the only natural dolphinarium was discovered in the Black Sea. The place of his deployment was Anapa. Utrish (the dolphinarium is right there, 18 km from the city) is a unique village. Here begins the Caucasian range. Here is a reserve, in which you can meet unique representatives of flora and fauna. Tourists are very fond of this stunningly beautiful and quiet corner of the coast.
Dolphinarium today
The institution was established for a specific purpose. This is a research base where animals do not just perform. The main goal of the dolphinarium is to study the behavior of animals, popularize knowledge about them. Concert performances are only insignificant, though very spectacular, part of the activities that the dolphinarium is engaged in. Utrish has become the abode of unique marine animals by the decision of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The office of this enterprise is located in Moscow, and branches - in all cities of Russia.
Today in Utrisha are the most diverse dolphins: bottlenose dolphins, beluga whales, and Iravadian and Pacific hunchbacked individuals. And here there are the Serene and Patagonian sea lions and even the killer whale.

How to get to Utrish
Resting in Anapa or Novorossiysk, it is necessary to go fishing on the high seas, wander through the wildlife park, visit the Great Utrish, the Dolphinarium.
How to get to Utrish? There are several ways to do this.
- Buy an excursion. This can be done in any locality. There are excursions designed only to visit the dolphinarium. There are comprehensive trips that introduce tourists to several attractions at once. On the road from Anapa to Bolshoy Utrish, tourists can enjoy stunning mountain and sea views, drive past the observatory, with a sinking heart, admire the panorama from a great height.
- Go by bus number 109. The road from Anapa to Utrish in this case will cost rubles to 30-40 and will take about one and a half hours.
- Call a taxi. This, perhaps, is the most convenient, albeit the most expensive way to travel. Tourists do not have to cram into the bus, to Utrisha by taxi only half an hour drive. The cost of the trip is about 600-1000 rubles.
Some owners of private hotels themselves take guests to the dolphinarium. In this case, the cost of the trip is negotiated with them.
Work schedule
The Dolphinarium works only in the warm season,from May to October. Sometimes in the winter, there are performances on Sundays. Tickets are recommended to buy an hour before the show: there are a lot of people who want to see dolphins.
