Mozhaiskoe reservoir is a beautiful place for rest and fishing!

In the west of the Moscow region as a resultconstruction of a dam in the early 60's on the river. Moscow near the village of Marfin Brod was formed Mozhaiskoe reservoir - one of the most beautiful places for recreation and fishing in the suburbs. It is famous for the purity and transparency of its water, and it is one of the largest reservoirs in the Central region of Russia. It is also referred to as the "Mozhaisk Sea", since the reservoir area is 3070 hectares, the length is 45 km, the largest width is 3.5 km, the depth is 4-8 m, and the maximum is 28 m.

Mozhaisk reservoir was created to improve water supply in Moscow. Feeding rivers: Moscow, Lusianka, Iskonna, Kloch and others. Its role in feeding the hydroelectric power stations of the power plant is also important.

On the right side of the reservoir the banks are high and steep, and on the left, on the contrary, they are more gently sloping and open. In spring, the upper part becomes overgrown with reeds and other vegetation.

The decrease in the number of Huster and Bream has created good conditions for roach feeding, and now it is larger in the Mozhaisk reservoir than in other reservoirs of the Moscow region.

Pike and pike perch are regularly released there, which are bred in a fish shop in the village of Glazovo.
