Odessa: Chernomorka (Lustdorf) - the former German colony
Odessa has gained a reputation in recent yearsone of the most expensive Black Sea resorts in Ukraine. But even with a small budget, you can relax in its suburbs. One of them is the Odessa-Chernomorka region, which is now officially called Lustdorf. Clean water, unique steppe air, gardens and vineyards nearby, inexpensive fruit and cheap accommodation will allow you not only to have a good rest here, but also to receive medical treatment. And the fact that the end stops of Odessa minibuses are near, provides an opportunity literally for a penny to be in the evening in the center of the "pearl of the sea" and plunge into its amusements.
History
This is one of the most interesting places in Odessa. Chernomorka is the name of Soviet times. And before that, the Germans lived here. The settlement was founded at the beginning of the nineteenth century by people from the city of Württemberg and built it according to all the traditional canons of their lands - with good roads, a church, a school and a theater. In the Ukrainian chernozems, they grew good harvests and lived pripeyavachi. Lustdorf - "a cheerful village" called the village of the famous mayor Duke de Richelieu. And since it was inconvenient to get to Odessa, the German colonists conducted the first electric tram to the 16th station of the Big Fountain. After the establishment of Soviet power, the residents of Lustdorf began to have problems - dekulakization, repression. And during the war all the colonists were forcibly evicted.
Beach "Chernomorka" (Odessa)
It is located between the famous cargo port inthe former Ilyichevsk and the cape of the Great Fountain, on which the Holy Dormition Monastery is located. Since this is one of the few places where there are almost no fortifications, the shore is washed freely by the Black Sea waves. Although the beach looks slightly neglected, there are a lot of cafes here, including inexpensive ones, as well as standard water entertainments. There are areas with sun loungers and umbrellas, merchants come with corn, pies and cold drinks. Luddorf beach is cheaper than Odessa can offer. Chernomorka is also a favorite place for fishermen. Here there are not only bulls, but also flounder, as well as gloss.
Bases, sanatoriums, private sector
Even in Soviet times these places were identifiedas a climatic health resort. Therefore, mainly children's and pulmonary sanatoriums were built here. Now many of them are in decline, but new mini-hotels and small recreation centers are being built. But one of the children's sanatoriums acquired the status of national and specialized - this is Lustdorf. An elite cottage village called Sauvignon has also been erected. There also there are whole rest complexes with all modern conditions for comfort. Many residents of the city have cottages in these places. These people are very enterprising, as well as hospitable - otherwise it would not be Odessa. Chernomorka is used by Odessa citizens to rent houses and rooms for rent.
