How to make an onion with your own hands
Recreation and entertainment in nature is stillprevented. But you can make your "outing" for a picnic in the nearest landing even more entertaining and fun, if you take a bow and arrows with which you can shoot on cans or cardboard targets. This lesson can be so exciting that soon you will even be upset because it's already dark, and it's time to get home. In the meantime, you can prepare in advance for the upcoming fun and make an onion yourself. The most important thing here is to find a suitable tree. An excellent material can serve as a nut, because of its smoothness. Therefore, we arm ourselves with a hacksaw, tape measure, knife, roll of thick nylon rope or twine, scissors, sandpaper and go in search of wood.
Having found a more or less suitable tree, you need to take advantage of the ideal branch, which will be the basis for the onion. Its length should be about 120 centimeters, and the diameter - 3-4 cm.
Carefully saw off the branch from the tree and usingknife we clean it, saving from unnecessary processes. When the future bow is cleared by hand, we make a deep saw-blade for the bowstring with a saw or knife, stepping 3-4 cm from each edge.
We make the final cleaning of the product by emery. The middle of the bow, where the arrows will be located, can be tightly wrapped in twine.
The same rope will serve as a string. In order to obtain the optimal length, we measure the distance from one notch to another by roulette and add another 12 centimeters to the resulting figure (6 cm at each end of the string).
We measure and cut off the required amount of twine. Well tied, inserting into the cut-off one edge of the rope, and on the other hand we make a loop with
Continuing to make a bow with our own hands, set our wooden "semi-finished" one end (the one to which the twine is already tied) into the ground.
The second end is held tightly by hand and try to bend gently so that you can thread a loop through it and tighten it on the second notch.
The bowstring should not be loose, it should spring, so that the arrows bounce and fly, and not instantly fall to the ground. Here, perhaps, that's all, the onions are ready with their own hands.
Now you know how to make an onion yourself,as well as arrows. It remains to make a target. It can be painted on a large piece of plywood or on a thick cardboard. Size is determined by yourself, the main thing is that you yourself can see well where you are aiming. But remember that shooting even from such a "child" onions can lead to injuries and other troubles if you do not follow the safety rules and be inattentive. If you think that there is nothing to worry about, then make a bow with your own hands - and run to the forest, to nature, to compete with friends in vigilance and accuracy.
