Why is the child afraid? How to overcome the child's fear of fears
In order to figure out how to overcome the fear offears, I would like to talk a little about the causes of the emergence and development of children's fears. The presence of this problem in the family suggests that it is not just the vagaries and hysterics of the child, but rather a serious cause for concern. Often the child develops a fear of the so-called suggestions of something terrible mom or dad, for example, frighten that he will be taken away by a "babai", a devil or a policeman if he behaves badly, or constantly threatens to cut his tongue or fingers for bad words or ridiculous wags, or Mom will get sick and will cry if the baby does not obey. Such examples can be cited for a long time and endlessly. Of course, everything said by the parents is said in jest, just to startle the baby. That only parents do not invent, that their child was sweet, obedient and fulfilled all their wishes, only forget about one thing that the child perceives everything said by adults as truth.
Fear of fear can arise already inthe age of six months, when the child is sensitive to the care of the mother, because next to her he feels fully protected, comfortable and cozy, and his eyes and tender hands speak of complete well-being. But when my mother is not around, the absence of a close and dear person becomes a traumatic factor for the child. This manifestation can form a child's fear of loneliness. Certainly, this feeling will eventually become dull if the parents pay attention to the child's words, for example, that they do not leave him somewhere at the age of two in the apartment or in the room before going to bed. Also, the fear of fear can arise in front of strangers and strangers, just beginning with eight months, the baby clings tightly to the mother, tries to turn away from people, crying, and capricious. At an unconscious level, he is afraid that these people hurt him and something bad and only after the person who first comes to visit will show him love and warm feelings, this fear will begin to dull. In the opposite case, phobia can develop and lead to the appearance of a phobia, if this does not reveal and work with the child in time.
It should be noted that at the age of three years, whenthe kid is actively acquainted with the surrounding world, reads fairy tales, shows cartoons and various pictures, there may be another fear of fears in the image of the fact that a child at an unconscious level is afraid of dying or falling ill, it is here that the instinct of self-preservation comes into effect. He can be afraid of fairy-tale characters, big dogs or other animals, roller-coaster ride, water, night fears in children, sleep badly, fear punishment and much more. But very often at the age of five and six years, children are afraid of death, which is largely due to the features of the intellectual development of the child.
Of course, fears and nightmares arepractically in all children and so that they do not outgrow in phobia, you need to quickly deal with them, for this you should constantly communicate with the child, be a real friend to him, who understands everything about him and who can always be trusted. A big error of parents, which contributes to the emergence of a restless state of the baby, is that they very often find out their personal problems and conflicts before the child. Therefore, if family conflicts are unavoidable, investigate them without the presence of children. If the fear remains, parents need to urgently turn to a specialist. Correction of fears in children is done by a child psychologist with the help of drawings, role games, individual consultations with which you can find out the true cause of fear, in order to neutralize the origins and overpower the belief that this fear does not cause any harm to his life.
