The cranial part of the head is wide, the transition from the forehead to the muzzle is pronounced, the latter is rather broad, the ears hanging, their bases are far behind. The back is even, broad, the tail is thick at the beginning, there is no suspension on it, it does not bend over the back. Legs are straight, paws are compact, rounded. Wool is two-layer, undercoat is expressed, colors: black, chocolate, fawn (yellow).

Apparently, white labradors are not recognizedofficially in this breed. The books of its breeders of the beginning of the last century mention pure white dogs that appear in the litters of certain lines, it is emphasized that they are not pale cream, namely white. However, modern genetics argue that there are no white-color genes in Labrador retrievers, even the lightest dogs, in comparison with the representatives of rocks bearing true white colors, look cream-colored. "White" Labradors are referred to as yellow (fawn).
