Bryansk Machine-Building Plant - pride of the region
CJSC Bryansk Engineering Plant is notonly the oldest machine-building production in the Bryansk region, but also one of the longest existing enterprises in Russia. As a company established in the second half of the eighteenth century, it is possible to remain among the most promising producers and create products that are relevant to the modern world, is described in this article.
History
The Bryansk Engineering Planta kind that everyone knows, did not appear immediately. In 1865 a sawmill was founded here. Since June 20, 1873, the company has expanded its horizons to a rail-rolling, iron-making and mechanical plant. It was this joint-stock company that led to the creation of a working village called Bezhitsa, which exists to this day in the format of a large administrative district of Bryansk. Already by 1978 the plant was awarded the title of the third steel producer in Russia. Eighties were the beginning of the production of rail cars, cisterns and platforms for railway use. Bryansk Engineering Plant since 1896 began to occupy a leading place in many exhibitions.
1907 is marked by the date of issue heresteam locomotives from the B series. By 1940, all heavy-duty tanks in the market were from Bryansk, 28% of the locomotives of the CO series, 29% of heavy-duty cars in Russia were also produced at BMZ. Bryansk Engineering Plant in 1946 created the first locomotive "Victory". In 1961, the factory tested the first ship's engine. From 1962 to 1995, the factory began to produce refrigerators and shunting locomotives. Also during this period, the structure of the organization was introduced, which has been preserved to this day. It was in 1965 that the plant was divided into three specializations: diesel, metallurgy and transport engineering.
Modern BMZ
Bryansk Machine-Building Plant has become a part of ZAO Transmashholding since 2002. Let's consider the dynamics of the company's development by years:
- 2005 - the first in Russia freight diesel locomotive with two sections and power transmission is being built at the Bryansk Machine-Building Plant.
- 2006 - the date of creation of the locomotive "Vityaz" with an asynchronous drive.
- 2009 is a difficult period for BMZ. The plant has almost no orders, which leads to a massive reduction in staff.
- 2012 - change of management with the subsequent updating of equipment, repair of premises and complete reorganization of production.
- 2013 - Bryansk Machine-Building Plant becomes the winner at the competition of the best innovative developments in the field of railway transport.
- 2015 - BMZ creates a new generation locomotive.
Today Bryansk Engineering is a dynamically developing enterprise, where new products are constantly created and real professionals are working.
Production of the enterprise
Bryansk Engineering Plant is one of the leaders in the market of industrial engineering. Mechanical engineering at BMZ includes the following products:
- Trunk diesel locomotives - the plant producesdiesel locomotive "Vityaz", which differs from others in the presence of an asynchronous engine, and a diesel locomotive, created by 90% of domestic parts, designed to support the policy of import substitution.
- Shunting locomotives - only 4 types: TEM18DM, TEM 28, TEM19, TEM TMH.
- Freight cars - hopper cars for transportation of grain and mineral fertilizers of various models and a specialized wagon-hopper for cement transportation.
- Spare parts - BMZ produces ship engines, as well as spare parts for shunting locomotives and freight cars.
Production system
When manufacturing at BMZ is useda standardized list of methods and tools. This approach allows us to rationally use resources and constantly improve the level of client satisfaction. The principle of work at the plant is based on the technique of "Lean Manufacturing". Within the framework of this methodology, BMZ observes a philosophy that assumes radical changes in mentality and thinking of employees. According to the Lean Manufacturing System, at the moment BMZ operates fully all production and 75% of the office.
