GAZ-3309. Characteristics

With the beginning of perestroika in the USSR GorkyAutomobile Plant (GAZ) started to create the fourth generation of medium-tonnage trucks with new cabs and engines. For their production, high-performance robotic devices were purchased, and new diesel engines with turbo-supercharging were developed.

In order to expand the functionalitycar GAZ-3307, at the Gorky Automobile Plant it was decided to create its twin. They became GAZ-3309. It was a truck with the same cab shape, but only a diesel one. It is thanks to this type of engine that the new car became less whimsical in operation and gained a high degree of power, economy and reliability. For the rest of the indicators, he was not inferior to his prototype GAZ-3307. The diesel model was designed for further use in the army, as well as in public services.

Both GAZ vehicles, 3307 and 3309, aremedium-tonnage trucks of the 4th generation. The carburetor GAZ-3307 is produced serially since 1989, and the turbo-diesel GAZ-3309 has been produced since 1994. Both are produced at the Gorky Automobile Plant and to this day. The new "lawn" replaced the trucks of the third generation (GAZ-52 and GAZ-53), which were produced serially until 1993.

Diesel car GAZ-3309 hasload-carrying capacity of 4500 kg. This weight truck can carry almost all types of roads, whether it is a primer or asphalt. This model is characterized by high technical and operational indicators.

Also in the 4th family there were such dieselcar, as a 5-ton truck GAZ-4301 and 3-ton GAZ-3306. These machines were produced until the mid-90's. After some time, the GAZ-3308 diesel engine (Sadko) was designed and put into serial production at the Gorky plant.

At the moment, the plant produces diesel trucks in the following trim levels:

• Isothermal van. It performs the function of transporting food,which require the maintenance of a special temperature regime. A heater and a special design of the doors make it possible to preserve perishable products in the best possible condition. It is also possible to install a refrigerator unit on isothermal vans.

• Manufactured goods van GAZ-3309. This type of van is intended for transportation of industrial goods,which do not require a special temperature regime (furniture, building materials, office equipment and so on). If the buyer needs to transport a non-standard-sized cargo, there are longer vans (5 and more meters).
• Bread van. Here everything is clear. On such cars are transported products from bakeries to shops. The products are transported in special trays or containers. Bread wagon of standard sizes can accommodate 120 trays.

This model is the best option formedium tonnage freight. Judging by the responses of car owners, the main disadvantages of the car are the strong vibration from the motor and the vulnerability of the wings in terms of corrosion. These are the only negative reviews about the GAZ-3309. For all other indicators, it's just an excellent car. Thus, it can be summarized that the GAZ-3309 characteristics are more than satisfactory.
